Watch Woman's 6 A.M. Revenge on Loud Neighbors: 'Had To Remind Them'

We can all relate to the stress caused by inconsiderate neighbors, and one woman woken in the middle of the night by loud music has exacted her revenge in the best way.

According to a survey by LendingTree, 73 percent of Americans "dislike at least one of their neighbors."

Apartment dwellers were the most likely to fall in that group—a whopping 79 percent of the 1,537 respondents to the survey.

TikTok user Kody (@kodykunz), 27, who lives in a duplex in New York, shared the creative way she and her husband Derek secured revenge after their neighbor decided to play music loudly in the middle of the night.

The couple are parents to a baby boy, meaning sleep is more important than ever.

Loud neighbors revenge
A couple woken by their neighbors in the middle of the night took revenge through the medium of music. They plugged in an amp and played James Blunt, Taylor Swift, even Ms Rachel. TikTok @Kodykunz

In a video, which you can watch here, she explained: "Our neighbors decided to plug a guitar into an amp at 2am so we had to remind them how thin the walls are at 6am."

The video then shows an amplifier plugged in in the bathroom—for ultimate reverberation—blasting the dulcet tones of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful".

And that wasn't all, as the video goes on to show clips of Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off," Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Can't Hold Us," and even Ms Rachel's "Dino Play" song getting some rotation.

Which is the last thing you'd want to wake up to after being up playing guitar until past 2 a.m.

Kody told Newsweek: "We've been here for about a year now, and noticed almost immediately how thin the walls were. We can hear things going on outside as if they're happening in our own living room, so it can get very loud sometimes."

She revealed they took their musical revenge after they were woken up by their neighbors on two occasions, and "were so over it by Sunday morning".

"We did ask them to keep it down but they either didn't care or thought they were being quiet enough," she said.

"As I was waking up through the night, I was thinking of different ways to get back at them, and this idea popped into my head. When we got up that morning I wasn't expecting my husband to be so into it but he was and ended up coming up with the playlist."

And it worked, as she went on: "Our neighbors and their friends left promptly after we finished their wake-up call. We believe they maybe got an hour or so of sleep (if that) before we woke them."

And, she revealed, "we haven't had any problems since".

Kody's video had a huge reaction on TikTok, boasting over 3.3 million likes since being uploaded on 3 March, which she admitted she "wasn't expecting".

"I was just recording this to send to family and friends because I thought it was so funny."

Thousands took to the comment section to praise the couples' behavior, with some claiming they would have gone even further.

"I played What Does the Fox Say at 5:30am when my neighbors decided to blast music at 2am. They never did it again," one user commented.

Another said they were "too nice, I'd start at 5am."

Plenty more shared how impressed they were with the couple's song choices for the revenge playlist, with one asking: "How did you curate the perfect list of the "songs most likely to make you want to throat punch someone"?"

Another agreed: "Came here to comment that this is a truly rage inducing playlist. Well played."

And as one person put it: "If someone woke me up at 6am paying SHAKE IT OFF, I might actually come out swinging."

To which Kody replied with the commet: "That's how I felt being woken up by electric guitar at 2am."

She told Newsweek the choice of songs was all down to her husband Derek.

"The James Blunt was the first song he put on and he picked it himself," she said.

"I don't know how he came up with such a perfect playlist, honestly."
