Ripped UPS Driver Flaunts Abs For Homeowner's Wife Watching On Doorbell Cam

A musclebound UPS driver had a group of office workers—and the internet—positive swooning after jokingly flashing his abs to a doorbell camera.

Footage of the dashing delivery man showing some skin was shared to TikTok by Derek Riddle, where it soon became popular, amassing over 5.8 million views and counting.

When it comes to heterosexual attractiveness, it would appear that muscles matter. That was certainly the takeaway from a 2017 study published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B, which saw a group of women asked to judge a series of photos of men's bodies in terms of their attractiveness.

While height and leanness were considered appealing attributes, the strongest men consistently ranked as the most attractive when it came to rating torsos.

Little wonder then that the UPS driver in this particular viral clip has proven so popular. The unnamed worker's newfound viral fame all stemmed from a prank played by Arkansas homeowner Derek Liddle.

Liddle told Newsweek: "My wife works in an office. One day while we were having a package delivered to our home, this gentleman delivered it. He often goes sleeveless as it gets pretty hot here in the summer. As he stretched out his arm my doorbell camera sent a snap shot to mine and my wife's Apple watches to notify of a delivery."

"When it alerted on her watch, her coworker beside her saw it illuminate and apparently said: 'WOW, who was that???' and she just said, 'Oh, that's just our UPS guy,' to which her coworker said, 'My UPS guy doesn't look like that... Hahahaha.'"

After his wife regaled him with the reaction in her office, Liddle decided to have a little fun with the next delivery.

"A week later, I arrived home early and noticed we still had a package 'out for delivery,'" he said. "So I made a quick sign..."

The sign read: "To the UPS driver who looks like he brushes every morning with creatine, my wife's co-workers would love a 'show' on the door cam."

Liddle pinned the note to his front door and waited.

Soon after, the same UPS driver arrived to drop off a package. As the resulting footage shows, he quickly saw the note and, laughing at the request, duly obliged his newfound fanbase, lifting his shirt to reveal his abs to the camera.

"It was just a joke," Liddle said. "It was never my intention for this video to go viral like it did but it was quite entertaining."

According to the homeowner, the delivery man returned to his truck to get a camera to take a picture of the sign, evidently amused at this most unusual of requests.

He's returned to their home since, and even chatted with Liddle about the video's popularity.

"He is a super nice guy," Liddle said. "Obviously a bunch of people who knew him sent him the video so he had seen it. He said that it gave him a good laugh to see everyone's responses and comments."

Commenting on the viral video, a UPS spokesperson told Newsweek: "That was certainly an unexpected request by a customer in the video—and an unexpected response. But at UPS we want employees to bring their authentic selves to work, and when they can, have a bit of fun on the job."
