Watch: Man Claims Encounter with Sacramento Police Officer Was Harassment

A man is claiming a Sacramento police officer who previously arrested him harassed him and his girlfriend during an encounter with the officer in early May.

The man, who goes by the name of Kash Alpha, was driving to a mall in Sacramento, California, with his girlfriend when he noticed an unmarked police car following him. Kash's girlfriend, Kathy, began to record the police encounter when they pulled over.

"I just want to see who's in your car today," the officer said in the video.

When Kash says he was driving with his girlfriend, the officer says he just wanted to check in because the last time they crossed paths he was "with some bad dudes."

"Obviously, last time you were riding with some bad dudes," the officer said.

At the end of the video, the police officer gets back into the car and winks at the camera.

"Every time I see you, I'm going to be looking at you. Have a nice day," the officer says as the car drives away.

In the video, Kash tells Kathy that this was the same officer who had taken him to jail previously, for having a registered firearm in his car but not his concealed carry permit, CBS reported.

Newsweek has reached out to Kash and Kathy, but did not hear back in time for publication.

The video, which already has 80,000 views on Facebook, was posted by Sarami Lee Xiong, who claims she is Kathy's mother. Xiong says the two were not pulled over by the officers but decided to stop the vehicle themselves because they were being followed.

"Until it happens to one of your own it really gets you angry. My daughter and her bf was driving and noticed an unmarked cop car following them. They were not pulled over but they just decided to pull over to see if it was following them. Surely it was," Xiong wrote on Facebook.

Newsweek reached out to the Sacramento Police Department but did not hear back in time for publication.

The Sacramento Police Department came under fire in March after the death of Stephon Alonzo Clark, an unarmed black man who was shot and killed by Sacramento police officers.
