Samsung is expected to announce the latest technology from the company on Wednesday at the Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event scheduled for Wednesday morning in San Francisco. The event was scheduled for 11 a.m. PST or 2 p.m. EST for those on the East Coast.
The event was expected to reveal the latest Samsung phone technology, a much anticipated addition to the Galaxy family. The event will be streamed live online for those who aren't at the California event Wednesday.
The stream for the event was expected to be available from Samsung on its website starting when the event was scheduled for Wednesday. The stream would be available on the Samsung site at this link.
The event is also a celebration of 10 years of "mobile innovation," according to Samsung. The company's been developing mobile phones and the Galaxy line for nearly a full decade and the newest phone is a culmination of technology developed from all those other devices.
Galaxy S10 Rumors
The phone being unveiled is the Samsung Galaxy S10 and some rumors have already been flying about the newest phone. Some changes are expected to some of the new device models like a new finger sensor and several camera lenses on the back of the phone, Digital Trends reported.
In addition to the camera modifications, the new devices might also come in new colors. Canary yellow is one of the colors that has been suggested might be included in the new phone options, similar to how Apple released the iPhone XR in new vibrant colors last year.
There's an option online for Samsung users to reserve one of the new devices already, even though it hasn't been revealed. Reserving a phone early can help users save money too, according to Samsung if users reserve a phone they can save up to $550 on the full price of the device. The catch is that they also have to trade in their eligible device to get the discount.
Galaxy Unpacked 2019 Live Stream
Anyone who wants to reserve a device can do so on the Samsung website here. The deal is only available until 11:59 p.m. EST Wednesday though so they'll have to move quickly. When they reserve a device they'll get delivery by March 8 as long as there are devices available to ship, said Samsung. Buyers will also earn a $50 credit toward accessories when they reserve a device.
