Actor Samuel L. Jackson has thrown his weight behind the stance of congresswoman Rashida Tlaib—who last week branded president Trump a "motherf****r."
The Pulp Fiction and Avengers star took to Twitter on Sunday to support Democrat Tlaib, who hit global headlines last week after proclaiming her intention to impeach the president. "We're gonna go in and impeach the motherfucker," she said following a swearing-in (no pun intended) ceremony.

"I just wanna Wholeheartedly endorse your use of & clarity of purpose when declaring your Motherfucking goal last week," Jackson tweeted. "Calling that Muthafukkah a Motherfucker is not an issue, calling that Muthaffuqah President Is" The post was shared thousands of times.
Jackson himself is no stranger to the word. His Hollywood scripts over the years have been laden with the term—as proven by this viral YouTube video (language warning, obviously).
In his Sunday Twitter hashtag, Jackson also branded Trump a "canker sore," a type of ulcer. Unsurprisingly, his followers loved it. Many replied with memes featuring the veteran actor.
It's not the first time the two men have been embroiled in a digital back-and-forth.
In 2016, Trump lashed out at Jackson's television commercials on his own social media profile. "He does too many TV commercials—boring," Trump wrote. "Not a fan."
Initially, Trump claimed that he had no memory of ever playing golf with the actor but later appeared to remember one such trip when called out by another actor who was allegedly there, Anthony Anderson. "Don't like @SamuelLJackson's golf swing." the president also wrote in January that year. "Not athletic. I've won many club championships. Play him for charity!"
Trump fumed about Tlaib's comments at a briefing last week, saying they were "disgraceful." He told reporters: "I think she dishonored herself and I think she dishonored her family."
But the term appeared to catch on in some political circles—as Canada's former prime minister Kim Campbell also got in on the action in a (since deleted) Twitter post.
"He really IS a motherf**ker," Campbell tweeted on Saturday while sharing a Politico report regarding statements Trump made about the U.S. government shutdown.
One day earlier, Tlaib had appeared to stand by her remarks. "I will always speak truth to power," she tweeted.
In an interview with media outlet WDIV-TV Detroit (Local 4) Friday, Tlaib said Trump had "met his match." She noted: "I stand by impeaching the president of the United States. I ran on that."
Later in the week, on Sunday, Trump lashed out online against the suggestion that he could be impeached. One main reason, he said, was because he had "won perhaps the greatest election of all time." He lost the popular vote.
