A new report states that WWE superstar Sasha Banks recently met with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon presumably to talk about her place in the company.

According to Dave Metlzer on his Wrestling Observer Radio show, Sasha Banks met with Vince on May 23. Her strained relationship with the WWE is said to be better, and she could be back with the company this summer. However, nothing is official at this point.

Banks has not appeared in the WWE since WrestleMania 35 where she and tag team partner Bayley lost their Women's Tag Team Championships to the IIconics in a fatal fourway match.

Reports following the show stated that Banks thought about leaving the company during WrestleMania weekend once she found out that she would be losing the titles that Sunday. She was under the impression that her and Bayley were set for a long title run (they became the first women's tag team champions at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in February) to legitimize the titles.

WWE reportedly gave Sasha a few weeks off to think things over as they felt her decision to leave was "rash."

Banks' name was mentioned after Bayley won the Money in the Bank briefcase and cashed-in on Charlotte Flair to win the SmackDown Women's Championship that same night.

While Sasha Banks has not been involved in the wrestling aspect of the WWE since WrestleMania, PWInsider reported she was in New York the week of May 23 to work on WWE 2K20 .

On May 15, Banks responded to a fan who commented that she "quit" the company. The former RAW Women's Champion replied "who said that?"

There were also reports that said Banks and Bayley were visibly upset backstage following their loss at WrestleMania 35, an account that Peyton Royce of the IIconics denied in an interview with Express Sport.

"I mean, I know there's all these rumors going around and we didn't see anything. Everyone was super happy and excited for us," Royce said. "The rumors to us is [that] we didn't see anything that we're hearing."

It's unclear when Sasha Banks will return to the company, but WWE's next big show is SummerSlam in August so if "The Boss" is set for a return it could be at or leading to that pay-per-view.
