Schwarzenegger Continues Feud With Trump, Joking Future 'Terminator' Plot Will See T800 Getting POTUS Out of Prison

Former California governor and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has continued his feud with President Donald Trump, joking that the next Terminator film will feature the T800 traveling back to 2019 "to get Trump out of prison."

The pair have been embroiled in a war of words since before Trump took office, and the president bashed the actor once again during a recent speech in Pennsylvania.

"Arnold Schwarzenegger failed when he did The Apprentice, and he's a movie star," Trump said.

Schwarzenegger wasted no time in replying to the president's insult, joking in an interview with Politico, "It's very nice of him to call me a movie star.

"I never know really why the Russians make him say certain things. It's beyond me," he said.

"Why do you think he says those things? He's supposed to be very busy. He promised people that he would reform the infrastructure and health care reform. There's so many issues that need to be addressed, but he's not addressing them. He also promised to drain the swamp. Everything goes on as usual," the actor continued.

Schwarzenegger has been an outspoken critic of Trump's performance as president, and of his comments on the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. Trump has mocked Schwarzenegger over his Apprentice TV ratings and his decision to quit the show.

One such incident saw the actor offer to change jobs with the president following his speech on Charlottesville.

"Hey Donald, I have a great idea," Schwarzenegger said at the time. "Why don't we switch jobs? You take over TV—because you're such an expert in ratings—and I take over your job, then people can finally sleep comfortably again."

In addition to taking a pop at Trump during the Politico interview, the actor discussed his experience with Me Too and the harassment charge leveled against him in 2003, saying that sexual harassment training made him "think totally differently."
