Fox News host Sean Hannity wants to know why everyone is so obsessed with him following revelations over his real estate holdings.
Speaking in a segment on his show on Monday night, Hannity commented that it was funny how some people in the media were "obsessed" with him, before playing a collection of clips that showed pundits saying his name.
"It's actually becoming funny now, the liberal media they can't stop talking about me, they're obsessed," he said.
"It's truly unbelievable," he added.
His comments come just a day after Hannity complained of being unfairly attacked by the media over his real estate investments, after it was revealed he was linked to shell companies that spent more than $90 million on homes across the U.S.
A report from The Guardian on Monday suggested Hannity had help from the federal housing department to build his property portfolio, raising questions around why he failed to declare a commercial relationship with the U.S. Department for Housing and Urban Development (HUD) while interviewing HUD secretary Ben Carson.
In a statement, Hannity said: "It is ironic that I am being attacked for investing my personal money in communities that badly need such investment and in which, I am sure, those attacking me have not invested their money. The fact is, these are investments that I do not individually select, control, or know the details about; except that obviously I believe in putting my money to work in communities that otherwise struggle to receive such support."
Hannity also added he had not discussed the loans that were obtained during the Obama years with anyone at HUD, nor was he responsible for HUD's involvement in the investments.
The TV host has also faced a barrage of criticism over relations he was among the clients of President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Cohen, whom he has spoken about numerous times on his show without declaring any personal interest, The New York Times reported.
However, Hannity shot down questions over his relationship with Cohen, stating he had not retained the services of Cohen and had simply sought his advice on real estate on a number of occasions.
"My questions, exclusively almost, focused on real estate. I said many times on my radio show, I hate the stock market. I prefer real estate. Michael knows real estate," he said.
