Has it been a long week? We've all been there. Sometimes the best remedy is a blanket, a cup of tea (or hot chocolate or your beverage of choice) and something to watch. There are plenty of recently-added options to choose from on Netflix, Amazon and Hulu, whether it's lighthearted romantic comedies like Breakfast at Tiffany's or the more recent How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days; documentaries like Ava DuVernay's hard-hitting 13th, about the 13th Amendment to the Constitution and incarceration, and City of Gold, about food critic Jonathan Gold and the culinary scene in Los Angeles; or a new standup comedy special from Russell Peters.

Here are a few suggestions for this weekend:

Breakfast at Tiffany's (Netflix, October 1)

This 1961 classic stars Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly and George Peppard as Paul Varjak.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (Netflix, October 1)

This quintessential romantic comedy about magazine writer Andie Anderson (Kate Hudson), who is trying to "lose a guy in 10 days" and her target, Ben Berry (Matthew McConaughey), who has in turn made a bet that he can get Andie to fall in love with him in 10 days.

Happy Gilmore (Amazon, October 1)

An early Adam Sandler favorite, Happy Gilmore is about an angry hockey player who becomes an angry golfer.

Conviction: Series Premiere (Hulu, October 4)

A new show from ABC follows a Conviction Integrity Unit (CIU), whose new leader is the former first daughter, as it investigates possible wrongful convictions. It's unclear how far from realistic the drama will stray, but the premise at least deals with an important issue.

13th (Netflix, October 7)

Ava DuVernay's new documentary is named for the 13th Amendment, which says that "neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States." The film, according to Netflix, looks at "the horrors of mass criminalization and the sprawling American prison industry" through the lens of the 13th Amendment.

City of Gold (Hulu, October 7)

It's about food, it's about a Pulitzer Prize–winning food critic and it's about the city of Los Angeles. Bon appetit.

Russell Peters: Almost Famous (Netflix, October 7)

This Canadian comedian of Indian descent returned to Toronto, where he got his start, to film a new stand up special, which focuses on family and race.
