American Pie actor Tara Reid was asked to leave a Delta flight on Monday, TMZ reported. The flight, which was scheduled to depart from Los Angeles for New York, had just left the gate when Reid was escorted off the plane with her small dog.
Delta said the plane "returned to the gate, prior to takeoff, due to a customer disturbance on board," in a statement to People. A video of a flight attendant speaking with Reid, and Reid leaving the plane, was posted by TMZ Monday. After Reid left the flight, it continued on its route to New York.
The actress made headlines in August for a questionable interview while promoting the sixth installment of the Sharknado film franchise. Fans pointed out that during the interview with Australia's Today Extra the actor seemed to be slurring her speech and squinting heavily.
Reid appeared to be in a similar state on a Fox 5 interview the next day, People reported on August 17. After the interviews, fans questioned Reid's health.
"While it's unfortunate to see some of the recent negative press following a successful week of promoting and supporting the film, I'm happy to know that my fans continue to stand by me — this is for them!" Reid said in a written statement reported by People.
"I'm also grateful to have been able to share this moment with my mom, who walked the red carpet with me on Sunday," she wrote. "She has been struggling with her health and to have her at my side, for possibly the last time, was so incredibly fulfilling."
Reid said she is perfectly healthy. "I am in great spirits and health and I look forward to my future projects and what's in store for me next."
The actor and her close friend Dean May appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars in 2016 but were kicked off the show for faking their relationship. Reid claimed, in an explosive fight with May on the reality show, they paired up to film the series for some extra cash.
"I did it for you because you said, 'I just wanna make a little bit of money, and I wouldn't mind the fame," Reid said on the show, according to Us Weekly.
Reid is best known for her appearances in the six Sharknado films, The Big Lebowski, and Alone In The Dark, according to the Internet Movie Database.
