Sheryl Crow Hit With Human Feces During Woodstock '99 Performance

Sheryl Crow has opened up about her experience at Woodstock '99, claiming that she was hit with human feces while she was onstage.

The infamous music festival has been under the spotlight recently after the Netflix Trainwreck: Woodstock '99 aired. Crow said she tried to watch the documentary but couldn't get through the whole thing as it was too "disturbing."

Crow spoke about her own experience at the doomed festival whilst appearing on the Fly on the Wall podcast with SNL alumni Dana Carvey and David Spade.

When the topic of the recent documentary came up, Crow said she couldn't get through the whole thing having lived through it. "I watched part of it on the airplane a couple of days ago, I had to turn it off., It was so disturbing and I remember it. I remember how awful it was," she said.

"Was it scary for you?" Spade asked Crow, "When you watch how everyone went bananas. I can't believe who would stay, it was so bad."

"It is interesting that people did stay. Almost felt like they couldn't leave," Crow replied. "It was debauched from the beginning because we were on the first day. You could look out and see girls who were topless on guys' shoulders, trying to get the MTV camera to sweep around in front of them and get on TV."

"And they were already throwing s*** from the outhouses that were not set up right, that were leaking," she continued. "At one point, some landed on my hand while I was playing bass during My Favorite Mistake. That's when we stopped. We played about four songs and I remember saying, 'nah, not gonna do it.'

In terms of live performance stories, Crow said her Woodstock '99 performance was a "highlight."

She said her job was made harder in the fact that Crow and her band came onto the stage after Insane Clown Posse and Andy Dick had performed. "We were like, 'is this our crowd?'" she said.

During the podcast, Crow told Carvey and Spade that she went to college with Brad Pitt, mentioning how nice she found him. She also discussed her ex-boyfriends, Lance Armstrong and Owen Wilson. On the subject of relationships, she did mention that even at 60 years old she doesn't want to get married and joked that she "just wants to sleep around."

Crow was appearing on the podcast as she's been a musical guest on Saturday Night Live three times ('96, '98 and '05). She was also there to promote her new documentary movie Sheryl, available to watch now on Showtime.

Trainwreck: 'Woodstock '99 is also available to watch on Netflix now.
