El Salvador's national football team claims it has refused a bribe to fix a World Cup 2018 qualifying match against Canada.

According to the BBC, members of the team played a recording at a press conference of a person allegedly offering a bribe.

El Salvador faces Canada on Tuesday in Vancouver with the north American country requiring victory to stand any chance of qualifying for the competition in Russia. El Salvador cannot advance from the group.
