Alexis Sanchez will be allowed to leave Arsenal this summer if a bid in the region of £50 million ($63 million) is lodged, according to reports.

Sanchez's contract at the Emirates Stadium has just over 14 months to run and negotiations with the club over an extension have stalled.

According to the London Evening Standard, the board at Arsenal is accepting it may have to sell the 28-year-old forward this summer instead of risking him leaving for free a year later.

Despite only having a year to run on his contract, Arsenal believes it can demand a fee of around £50 million for Sanchez's services.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Juventus and Bayern Munich are all believed to be interested in the Chilean but the club will not want him joining a direct rival.

The hurdle in contract negotiations is believed to be down to wages, with Sanchez's representatives asking Arsenal to double his £130,000 ($164,000) weekly salary.

The transfer window reopens on July 1.
