Alex Oxlade Chamberlain believes Arsenal is capable of mounting a Premier League title challenge despite being 10 points behind Chelsea.

Arsene Wenger's side has slipped from second to fourth over the past two months, now looking more likely to be in for a fight for a Champions League spot rather than the title.

But Chamberlain says Arsenal is still capable of going on a run that could worry the Premier League leaders.

"We want to be able to respond for the fans. They want to win as much as we do," the Englishman told Arsenal's official club website.

"We are all in this together and we all want the same thing, so we have all got to stand up and be counted. People have been doubting us and it is important that we pick ourselves up to try to turn the tide into a more positive one.

"Our fans are great home and away. They are very loud so we hear them when they are happy and when they are frustrated, but that is part and parcel of being at a massive club like Arsenal. They want us to win the league, so when we are losing games and it seems like it is slipping out of our hands, it is going to be frustrating."

Arsenal faces a tricky trip to Anfield to face fellow Premier League title challenger Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool, fifth in the Premier League table, is just one point behind Arsenal, with only the top four clubs at the end of the season qualifying for the Champions League.
