Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge as early as January after AC Milan reportedly held talks with the Spaniard.
Fabregas has fallen out-of-favor in west London after the arrival of Antonio Conte as manager in the summer, with the Italian believing Fabregas is lacking defensively.
According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, AC Milan is prepared to take the 29-year-old away from Chelsea in January with the club in the middle of a takeover by Chinese investors.
Fabregas was brought to Chelsea in 2014 by then-manager Jose Mourinho, helping lead the side to the Premier League title in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
But, like many of his team-mates, the Spaniard was criticized for the club's dramatic downfall the following season that lead to the sacking of Mourinho in December 2015.
Conte has made it clear that Fabregas is not a key first-team player, with the midfielder yet to complete 90 minutes under the new boss.
