Chelsea forward Pedro held talks with Barcelona in the summer about a possible return to the Camp Nou just a year after leaving.
The 29-year-old revealed on Spanish radio that reports he had been in discussions with the Catalan club were correct, but that he was unlikely to make a comeback.
"I talked with Bartomeu, but it was given more importance than the conversation merited," Pedro told Catalan radio RAC1.
"It's difficult to return somewhere but I have special memories of my time at the club."
Pedro has struggled to get a consistent run in the first-team at Stamford Bridge, with Willian the preferred partner to Eden Hazard alongside Diego Costa in attack.
But the Spaniard has featured more frequently under new manager Antonio Conte, and got his first goal under the Italian just 30 seconds into the 4-0 win over Jose Mourinho's Manchester United on Sunday.
"I'm happy with my playing time at the moment," he added. "It's always good to play and to help the team with goals. I feel good physically, too."
Chelsea faces West Ham in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.
