Antonio Conte and Pep Guardiola both look set to miss out on Southampton's Virgil van Dijk, according to reports.
Conte's Chelsea, the Premier League leader, and Guardiola's Manchester City were believed to be keen on luring the Dutch center-back away from the south coast during the open transfer window.
But according to Sky Sports, Southampton will not allow Van Dijk to leave the club in January as it looks to continue its climb away from the relegation zone.
Claude Puel's Southampton is 10th in the Premier League, nine points off Sunderland in 18th.
