Chelsea manager Antonio Conte looks set to be without captain John Terry for Manchester United's visit to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Terry has suffered a setback in his return from injury, according to The Times, despite expecting to be available for Jose Mourinho's first appearance back at Chelsea since being sacked.

The 35-year-old was unable to train with the team on Thursday after injuring his ankle again and now looks likely to miss the reunion with his former boss.

It is believed that he will be assessed on Friday by medical staff before a decision is made.

Terry has not featured for the Blues since injuring his ankle in the final minute of a 2-2 draw with Swansea City more than a month ago.

Chelsea has lost to both Liverpool and Arsenal in the Premier League since then, but rediscovered form with victories over Hull City and champions Leicester City.
