Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti believes the wealth of the Chinese Super League will be unable to lure the best players from European football.
Ancelotti, who is undertaking his first season in the Bundesliga, recognizes the interest that China is creating for footballers in Europe's leading leagues.
Brazilian Oscar left Premier League leader Chelsea and joined Shanghai SIPG for £60 million ($72.44 million); Axel Witsel left Zenit Saint Petersburg for Tianjin Quanjian.
"It's true that a lot of players are going to China at the moment," Ancelotti said. "But, for the moment, European clubs are safe because the best competitions and most competitive football is in Europe.
"Players don't just play for the money, but also to be at the top and play the biggest games in the world. For this reason, European clubs are safe in the future."
Ancelotti's Bayern is top of the Bundesliga, three points clear of nearest rival RB Leipzig.
