The England striker was given a three-match ban, starting on December 26, for a two-footed challenge on Mame Biram Diouf that earned him a red card against Stoke City last week.
Vardy sat in the stands to watch his team-mates and even put on one of the masks himself.
Leicester's Thai owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha posted his support for the 29-year-old on his Instagram account, claiming the red card was "unfair" and apologized to fans that the club's appeal was rejected.
Defeat to Everton puts Leicester 16th in the Premier League, just three points above the relegation zone.
Claudio Ranieri's Premier League champions host West Ham United on December 31.
