Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool has shown interest in signing Real Madrid's out-of-favor forward James Rodriguez, according to reports in Spain.
The Colombian has been the subject of interest from Chelsea and Arsenal after appearing to be out of Real manager Zinedine Zidane's plans for the new La Liga season.
But, now, Klopp has also joined the race as he looks to strengthen his forward line before the transfer window closes on August 31, according to Deportivo Mundo.
Liverpool, however, is likely to stumble with the huge fee Real will demand along with matching the 25-year-old's wages.
Rodriguez cost Real a reported £71 million ($94 million) when he moved from Monaco following the 2014 World Cup.
Klopp has already added Sadio Mane and Georgino Wijnaldum to his squad this summer for a combined total of £60 million ($79 million).
