Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will reward midfielder Ander Herrera with a new deal after an impressive year for the player at Old Trafford, according to reports.
Herrera has been a mainstay in the Manchester United midfield, alongside Paul Pogba, helping the club to the EFL Cup and the FA Community Shield.
Mourinho, who arrived at the club last summer and has since been impressed with the Spaniard's attitude and tenacious playing, will offer the midfielder a new deal to keep him at Old Trafford until 2019, according to The Sun.
The 27-year-old joined United in 2014 from Athletic Bilbao for a fee believed to be worth around £29 million ($47 million at the time).
Herrera was also popular under former United boss Louis van Gaal.
The midfielder is expected to feature in United's Europa League match away against Russian team Rostov on Thursday.
