World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could face being stripped of his titles after reportedly testing positive for cocaine.
Fury, 28, was due to fight Wladimir Klitschko on September 23 in a rematch but pulled out due to being "medically unfit."
But, according to ESPN, Fury tested positive for cocaine the day before he was due to fight the Ukrainian.
It is reported that the drug was discovered in a random urine sample taken as part of a Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) test.
In a letter to Fury , which ESPN said it had obtained, VADA president Dr. Margaret Goodman wrote: "Mr. Fury has the right to promptly request analysis of the 'B' sample at his expense."
Fury has yet to comment. Newsweek has contacted Hennessey Sports, Fury's promoter, for comment.
