The end has finally come. Tottenham Hotspur went out in style after 118 years playing at White Hart Lane in north London, beating Manchester United 2-1 before an on-pitch parade Sunday evening.
The current squad, led by manager Mauricio Pochettino, was joined on the pitch by former Spurs players and managers, including Glenn Hoddle, Ossie Ardiles and David Ginola.
White Hart Lane will be demolished on Monday, less than 24 hours after the final game that ensured Tottenham would finish second in the Premier League table, its highest finish in the division.
Next season, the club will play at Wembley Stadium, home to the English national team, before returning to the new 61,000-seater stadium in north London, which has been half-built adjacent to the current ground throughout this season.
