Stephen Curry Involved in Multicar Crash on Oakland Highway, Walks Away Unharmed

Stephen Curry was involved in a three-car crash Friday morning on westbound Highway 24, according to an ABC7 report.

The Golden State Warriors star was hit twice just before 9 a.m. on the Oakland side of the Caldecott Tunnel.

Curry was first hit by a silver Lexus sedan that lost control after an unsafe lane change. Approximately 10 minutes later, while the athlete was waiting for assistance, a black Honda Civic also lost control and hit the center median, collided with a concrete wall and then rear-ended Curry's Porche, according to a CHP Facebook post.

CHP told ABC7 that weather likely played a role in this accident.

While the athlete's Porche was damaged, all drivers involved in the accident came out unharmed.

Despite the morning's events, Curry was able to make it to the Warriors' practice facility where his fellow teammates said he was "fine," according to an ESPN report.

Curry has been out of the game since Nov. 8 due to a groin injury and was not scheduled to play in Friday night's game against the Trailblazers. The 30-year-old basketball star will also miss out on the Warriors' Saturday game against the Sacramento Kings.

Curry will be re-evaluated on Saturday, and though he won't be playing in the upcoming games, the team seems to be confident in his recovery.

The Warriors have suffered an injury-plagued season. Through the team's 18 games, Shaun Livingston has missed nine games, Curry has missed six, Draymond Green has missed five, Andre Iguodala has missed three, and Alfonzo McKinnie has missed two.

"Right now we obviously are short-handed but we're not going to make excuses for these upcoming games," said Klay Thompson after Friday's shootaround. "We still have plenty of talent to reel off some wins and we will, we just got to stay the course."
