Parades, bar crawls, traditional meals and more are all part of the Saint Patrick's Day celebrations in the United States, while in Ireland the day is far more of a religious and historic celebration. In the cities in Ireland there are some more mainstream celebrations, but at its heart, the day is a celebration of the patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick, and it's a day of feasting for most. Many people attend church before celebrating and feasting.
