Thursday morning, The Real host Tamera Mowry-Housley learned via Twitter that her niece is missing after the Thousand Oaks shooting. Mowry-Housley's niece, Alaina Housley, a freshman at Pepperdine, was pictured in her suitemate's Twitter post asking for help in locating her missing roommate.

"My suitemate is still missing, she is wearing denim shorts, a blue flannel and sneakers, pls let me know if you know anything," the roommate, Ashley, posted.

Twelve people are confirmed dead after the shooting in Thousand Oaks, Calif. on Wednesday night. The gunman was identified as Ian David Long. He attacked Borderline Bar and Grill, a country-themed bar filled mainly with college students. Long served as a machine gunner in the Marines from 2008 to 2013, according to the Marine Corps.

Mowry-Housley responded to Ashley's post and asked Ashley to contact her directly. "Ashley this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley. Can you please DM me your information?"

The Sister, Sister star also asked if Alaina was someone reported to have ran from the scene during the shooting, but received no response from Ashley. Ashley also revealed she'd spoken with "Adam," Mowry-Housley's husband, about Alaina's disappearance.

@adamhousley arrived at the hospital searching for his niece Alaina. A guard didn’t let him through, saying it was on lockdown. He said Alaina, a Pepperdine freshman, was at the bar with several friends. Her Apple Watch and iPhone still showed her location on the dance floor.

Adam Housley tried to visit Los Robles Regional Medical Center to locate Alaina on Thursday morning but was turned away, according to Los Angeles Times reporter Andrea Castillo. Housley told Castillo Alaina's cell phone and Apple Watch were showing her location on the dancefloor at Borderline. He believes she's dead.

"My gut is saying she's inside the bar, dead," he told the Los Angeles Times. "I'm hoping I'm wrong."

Teylor Wittler, who witnessed the shooting, said Long was clearly an experienced gunman. "He knew what he was doing," she told the New York Times. "He had perfect form."

Later on Thursday morning, Ashley claimed all of her friends who had been at the bar with Housley were accounted for. Mowry-Housley continued to tweet Ashley and ask for updates, including hospitals her niece could be at.

Mowry-Housley's twin sister, Tia Mowry, tweeted her followers on Thursday morning to ask for prayers.

Woke up shocked. Please pray. Please pray. I am numb.

"Woke up shocked," she tweeted. "Please pray. Please pray. I am numb."

Before Long began shooting, he threw a smoke bomb into the bar. According to a local Borderline frequenter, Michael Millar, 25, the bar hosts a college night on Wednesdays. The rest of the week, it's filled with local police and firemen.

Another bar-goer, Chris Weber, claimed many of the people he knew inside Borderline had also been present during the 2017 shooting at the Las Vegas country music festival.
