In the wake of the numerous allegation of disgraced R&B singer, R. Kelly, various celebrities have come forward to grow support of the multiple women who spoke out in the Lifetime docu-series, Surviving R. Kelly; however, one celebrity seems to have confused or angered her followers.

Taraji P. Henson took to Instagram Tuesday afternoon to compare the responses to allegations between Kelly and beleaguered movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. While recording her screen, Henson typed in "#MuteRKelly" which–to no surprise–pulled up thousands of results. Following her initial search with "MuteWeinstein" and "MuteHarveyWeinstein"–which had way fewer results–Henson seemed to want to point out the differences in response.

While she only responded with a thinking emoji and "hmmm," a backlash on social media quickly ensued.

"Harvey Weinstein has been booked, charged, etc. the purpose of #MuteRKelly is to silence his music," one Twitter user wrote. "For him to be held accountable for his actions. I really need Taraji to know better. Unbelievable."

"She really tried to compare mute R. Kelly hashtags to Mute Harvey Weinstein! News flash, Taraji, Harvey is about to go to trial," another user added. "There are people willing to testify against him. His businesses and career are DONE! R. Kelly is still out here functioning!"

Accusations against Weinstein were first brought to light in 2017 when the New York Times published a lengthy article outlining the sexual-assault accusations multiple women in Hollywood had made against him.

The 66-year-old turned himself into New York police in May and was charged with first- and third-degree rape and first-degree criminal sexual act. He was later charged with a second count of criminal sexual act in the first degree and two counts of predatory sexual assault.

In October, a judge dropped one charge of sexual assault against Weinstein that actress Lucia Evans alleged occurred in 2004. The ruling came after prosecutors acknowledged that the detective leading the case failed to tell them about a witness who had expressed doubts about the accuser.

Weinstein has since been released on $1 million bail and wears an ankle monitor. He is prohibited from traveling outside the confines of his homes in New York and Connecticut, according to USA Today. He maintains his innocence.

While numerous allegations have confronted the R&B singer, no arrests or formal charges have been made against Kelly. During the growing support of #MuteRKelly, Sony parted ways with the 52-year-old after over 20 years of working together, though it's unclear if Kelly left on his own accord.

Like Weinstein, Kelly denies all allegations made against him.
