Taylor Swift's Exchange With Andy Reid After Chiefs Win Goes Viral

Singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid have captured the hearts of some NFL fans and Swifties online after a photo of the pair joking has gone viral.

Swift is no stranger to the NFL now, a statement many would have found odd over a year ago, with the star often seen cheering on her partner, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce at a game.

Rumors about the duo dating started to circulate in 2023, with the pair linked as far back as July when Kelce mentioned the singer on his podcast, New Heights, after he saw one of her Eras Tour concert dates.

Since that episode aired, the pair had been spotted together several times, at games, at her concert, and out and about, and now they are a full-fledged couple.

Swift also now appears to have won over more than just Kelce, with her and Reid setting the internet on fire with a photo taken on Sunday when the Chiefs won against the Baltimore Ravens 17-10.

This means that the Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl, which will be held on February 11. The Chiefs won Super Bowl 57 last year and hope to retain the honor.

In an image shared on X, formerly Twitter, late Sunday evening, Swift can be seen pointing at Reid, who, on an elevated platform, can be seen slightly hunched over and pointing back at the "Karma" singer.

Shared by account the @stoolpresidente, the image was captioned: "This photo of Andy Reid and Taylor Swift pointing at each other is everything."

When this article was published, the post had been viewed 2.4 million times by app users and clocked up over 38,000 likes.

As popular as it was, it divided social media users, with some behind Reid and Swift's adorable friendship and others wanting Swift's link to the NFL to end.

One viewer called the NFL "rigged," implying that Swift's popularity may have swayed steps in the journey to the Chiefs making it to the Super Bowl.

They said: "The NFL is a rigged show," with another onlooker echoing their statement: "Thank you for helping the NFL rig it for us another year."

Others labeled the image "Awesome," with a fan commenting: "Ready for the Taylor Bowl?"

Another said: "We need to acknowledge that only Andy Reid is cool and aware enough to embrace Taylor and just adapt to it. Why Andy Reid is the GOAT HC."

A diehard football fan praised Reid for being the megastar in the image: "Wow, Andy noticed Taylor? She should feel honored to get a point from the big man."

Account @sjoseph_sports shared the same photo with the caption: "If I can't have what Taylor Swift and Andy Reid have, I don't want it."

Newsweek has contact Taylor Swift's talent agent via email for comment.
