Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Can't Get Any Closer on Sweet Date in L.A.

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors

Straight from The Tortured Poets Department to West Hollywood, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce enjoyed a cozy night out together.

Less than one week after the singer-songwriter released her critically-acclaimed double album, Swift and Kelce hit up Madeo Ristorante in WeHo.

The couple — whose every move has been documented ever since July 2023, when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end made Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number — were photographed sitting on the same side of a booth in the restaurant. Whether on purpose or just a perfectly-timed coincidence, the pair were clad in TTPD colors: Swift, her hair in a slightly tousled updo, wore a sleeveless black top while Kelce donned a collared white tee.

This wouldn't have been the first time that the duo, who looked deep in conversation at the restaurant, coordinated their fits to reflect Swift's music: Kelce famously wore a blue paint-splattered matching denim ensemble while leaving the Chiefs locker room in September, which many believed to be a nod to Swift's 1989 (Taylor's Version) album. (The NFL star also made headlines earlier this month when he wore a Swift Easter egg-filled hat at a golf course that appeared to reference both 1989 and "The Archer" from Lover.)

Swift and Kelce recently got back from a getaway to California's Carmel-by-the-Sea — where they vacationed with fellow A-list couple Bradley Cooper and the Grammy winner's longtime pal Gigi Hadid. Travis' mom, Donna Kelce, confirmed Swift and her youngest son's trip, sharing at the QVC Age of Possibility summit earlier this week that Travis sent her a photo from their vacation.

While Travis has yet to publicly react to Swift's new album — which includes two songs, "The Alchemy" and "So High School," heavily theorized to be about their romance — Donna praised TTPD in an interview with People published on Wednesday, April 24.

"I listened to the whole album, and I listened to it all morning long when it was released," Donna shared with the outlet. "I was just very impressed. She is a very talented woman, and I think it is probably her best work."
