Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine pled guilty to nine counts against him on Saturday, according to KNSD. The court records, originally sealed, were publicly opened Friday and showed that the rapper pled guilty to previously discussed charges of racketeering, firearm violations, conspiracy and narcotics trafficking, according to TMZ. Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, originally said he was not guilty of the charges.

The court records revealed details of the drug offenses leveled against the rapper. He was allegedly involved in dealing hard drugs like heroin, fentanyl and ecstasy, along with marijuana.

Tekashi's decision to plead guilty may mean he's working on a plea deal with the federal government, though that is unconfirmed.

In November, Tekashi's full federal indictment revealed he was allegedly a violent gang member, specifically of the New York gang Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. The indictment listed the rapper along with his former manager, Kifano Jordan, as gang members who had allegedly committed attempted murder, drug trafficking offenses and more, according to The New York Times. One listed offense detailed a Times Square gunpoint robbery, which prosecutors said the rapper filmed.

Tekashi did not issue a statement at the time, but his lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, voiced his support for his client, who he claimed was not a gang member but rather a victim in the crimes. "An entertainer who portrays a gangster image to promote his music does not make him a member of an enterprise," said Lazzaro.

Tekashi had been in trouble with the law before. The charges brought against him in November directly violated a probation he was assigned after disorderly conduct charges surrounding an underage girl in a sexual video taken before the rapper was famous. He pled guilty to "using a child in a sexual performance" in October.

The rapper is best known for his songs "Fefe," which features Nicki Minaj, and "Gummo," which launched his career on SoundCloud. At a video shoot with Minaj and Kanye West, shots were fired at Tekashi, according to The New York Times. No one was injured, but the November video shoot was canceled. Before that, an August music video of Tekashi's featuring 50 Cent was also subject to a shooting.

The rapper was kidnapped and robbed last July. Prosecutors arrested and charged members of his former management team with the crime.
