Texas Woman Hits Husband With Stun Gun After Catching Him at a Nightclub With His Mistress, Police Say

A Texas woman allegedly hit her husband with a stun gun after finding him at a nightclub with his mistress.

Irlanda Parra, 24, was arrested when police were called to Jefe's restaurant in Wichita Falls, Texas, at around 2 a.m. on Sunday, KDFX reported.

Parra's husband, who was not named, told officers that Parra, who is the mother of his child, was in the parking lot of the restaurant—which operates as a club on weekends—with a stun gun.

According to the station, when officers arrived, they found several people in a dispute and a gold vehicle trying to leave the scene.

When an officer stopped a vehicle that Parra was driving, she claimed she had arrived to collect her husband but then his girlfriend and her friends had tried to attack her. Parra claimed she then pulled out a stun gun and pointed it at the woman and her friends.

KFDX reported that Parra later changed her story from initially claiming her husband had called her for a ride to later saying a friend had informed her that he was at the club with another woman. She said she had gone there to confront them.

The man said he had been trying to leave the club with his girlfriend when Parra arrived and blocked his vehicle from getting out of the parking lot.

He claimed she tried to use the stun gun on him and the woman he was with, showing police the redness of his hands where he said he had been struck by the weapon.

Witnesses told police that they saw Parra trying to use the stun gun on a number of people in the parking lot—and Parra's husband said another person in the parking lot was eventually able to get the gun away from her.

Parra, of Wichita Falls, Texas, had been charged with assault causing bodily injury family violence, online records from the Wichita County Sheriff's Office show. She was booked into jail on a $2,000 bond on Sunday and released later that day.

KDFX reported that Parra had been granted a protective order in October last year against an unnamed man who had been harassing and threatening her when she filed a claim for child support.

According to the station, Parra said the man regularly visited bars and got drunk before coming to her home at all hours of the night to threaten her. She claimed that one of those occasions, he had broken the windows of her car with a bat.

The Wichita County Sheriff's Office has been contacted for additional comment.
