TLC's long-delayed final album will be released in June, the band's manager confirmed Monday.

The surviving members of the "No Scrubs" group, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, first announced their part-comeback/part-farewell record in January 2015 when they launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund its production.

The fundraiser attracted 4,000 donations totalling just over $430,000.

But nearly two years has passed since the campaign ended and fans are still waiting for an album.

In an update on the group's Kickstarter page , TLC's manager Bill Diggins said the record is "tentatively scheduled to be released at the end of June," with a firm release date to be confirmed in the next couple of weeks.

As for the delay, Diggins said Chilli and T-Boz's touring commitments delayed them from getting into the recording studio.

"It took a lot more time to coordinate schedules with writers, TLC's executive producer Ron Fair and recording sessions than anticipated," Diggins added.

Diggins said the surviving TLC singers "demanded of themselves a record that would stand up to the great body of work created in the past and that you would be proud of, because your belief and support is the greatest form of love and we want you to be proud."

The untitled album will be TLC's fifth studio album and their first since Lisa "Left Eyes" Lopes's death in a car accident in April 2002.

The group's final studio album was 2002's 3D , the follow-up to their hit FanMail, which was released in 1999 and spawned the hits "No Scrubs" and "Unpretty."
