Where is Mark Burnett? Tom Arnold Says Police Are Having a 'Hard Time' Finding Him in Since-Deleted Tweet

After Tom Arnold and Mark Burnett allegedly engaged in a scuffle at a pre-Emmys party Sunday, the former Roseanne writer claimed in a since-deleted tweet his attacker is nowhere to be found. The actor and comedian took to Twitter on Tuesday to suggest the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) are struggling to track down The Apprentice producer's whereabouts at this time.

"LAPD is having a very hard time locating Mark Burnett," Arnold, 59, initially tweeted Tuesday. "He's not responding, so anyone with any information about Mark Burnett or Roma Downey or witnesses to his assault on me Sunday night please call Det Justin Malcuit LAPD WLA 310-444-1533 or write Det.Malcuit: 36275@lapd.online."

Burnett's representatives denied the allegations presented in Arnold's tweet, explaining to Newsweek: "For the record, Mark's team was in touch with the LAPD before Tom posted this lie and Mark has been cooperating fully."

On Sunday, Arnold accused Burnett of choking him at a party being held ahead of Monday's 70th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony. Arnold claimed actor Kevin Bacon and his 26-year-old daughter, Sosie Bacon, were witnesses to the incident as well.

"Mark Burnett just went apeshit & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain," Arnold tweeted Sunday. "I'm waiting for LAPD."

How I Met Your Mother alum Alyson Hannigan witnessed the fight as well, tweeting Sunday: "Walked n2 party behind Tom Arnold and saw him and Mark Burnett get into a fight! Thought it was a joke until security jumped in."

Representatives for Arnold didn't return Newsweek's request for comment, but the True Lies star additionally suggested Burnett "lost his mind" upon attacking him. According to a report from Variety on Monday, it's uncertain what led to the fight or who took the first jab.

Arnold filed a police report following allegations made by Burnett's wife Roma Downey, who tweeted Sunday: "Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom? Please stop."

To this, Arnold called Downey's claims "bulls***" and a "lie."

Arnold and Burnett's alleged altercation comes before the premiere of the new Viceland series The Hunt for the Trump Tapes with Tom Arnold. The show, out Tuesday, intends to follow a search to determine the validity of tapes that could prove to be damaging to the president.

Much of Arnold's disdain for Burnett stems from the actor's belief the producer has access to tapes of President Donald Trump allegedly dropping the n-word in The Apprentice's outtakes. Buzz surrounding the tape's existence has circulated for years, but the speculation resurfaced after Omarosa Manigault-Newman claimed they were real in her tell-all book Unhinged. Manigault-Newman suggested he was caught on a mic using the racial slur "multiple times."

Sarah Sanders, the White House press secretary, didn't deny that the tapes existed.

"I can't guarantee anything, but I can tell you that the president addressed this question directly," Sanders said during an August briefing. "I can tell you that I've never heard it."

This story was updated to include comment from Burnett's representatives. Arnold's tweet was deleted prior to publishing.
