Niki Lauda and Toto Wolff, Mercedes F1's two principal figures, have re-signed with the team before the start of the new season on March 26.
Wolff, the executive director of motorsport, and Lauda, the three-times world champion turned non-executive chairman, have signed on until 2020, also the date when Mercedes' current commitment to Formula One ends.
"The last few years have been some of the most enjoyable I have had in Formula One," Lauda said in quotes reported by The Guardian. "Toto and I formed a perfect partnership at Mercedes and we have a great team on every level that has delivered results."
Mercedes has won the last three drivers' championships, two for Lewis Hamilton and one for Nico Rosberg, who retired in December and has taken on an ambassadorial role at the German team.
