Premier League clubs have just one week left to sign players before the transfer deadline and some are looking to be running out of time.
Let's start with Manchester United, who have apparently accepted they will not succeed in luring Harry Maguire away from Leicester City this summer and have turned their attention to Toby Alderweireld and Yerry Mina instead.
The Daily Mirror believes the Colombian, who impressed at the World Cup, could leave Barcelona for just $39 million. Spanish newspaper Sport suggests as much, indicating officials from both clubs are set to meet over a potential deal.
For a defender who could be arriving, there's one ready to leave Old Trafford. Argentinian outlet Ole claims Everton have bid for Marcos Rojo, who has struggled to establish himself as a regular at United since arriving four years ago.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, meanwhile, claims Paul Pogba has emerged as a surprise target for Barcelona. The paper goes as far as suggesting Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, offered his client to the Spanish giants last month.
While United are struggling to sign players, Chelsea have a fight on their hands to keep hold of them. According to the Daily Mail, Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a bid to bring N'Golo Kante back to France. Chelsea were set to make Kante their best-paid player with a $377,000-a-week deal but PSG could trump that.
The same newspaper also reports the Blues could run down Thibaut Courtois' contract and losing for free next summer, instead of selling him this summer. While that would be financially damaging, Chelsea are only prepared to let Courtois go if they can get a replacement but have so far not made any progress towards signing one the Belgian's potential replacements - Jordan Pickford and Kasper Schmeichel.
Elsewhere in the capital, the Sun claims Tottenham Hotspur could make Lewis Cook their first signing of the summer. The 21-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Liverpool, joined Bournemouth two years ago and could be available for around $30 million.
Spurs, however, could lose young midfielder Marcus Edwards, who is a target for Bayer Leverkusen, according to ESPN.
Meanwhile, the London Evening Standard believes Spurs are also expecting to complete a deal for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish and will also look to add another midfielder to their squad. The paper also adds, Mousa Dembele, Alderweireld and Danny Rose are all expected to leave before the deadline, while Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen remain for sale.
