Travis, Jason Kelce Post-Season Gig Goes Viral—'Genius Idea'

One football fan has come up with a "genius idea" for how the Kelce brothers could spend their off-season, or potential newfound retirement and the internet has reacted with delight to the viral post.

Jason Kelce and his younger brother Travis Kelce are NFL stars who play for the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs respectively. While Jason's season is over thanks to a playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Travis is edging closer to another Super Bowl with the Chiefs.

Rumors have swirled that Jason will announce his retirement soon, and even Travis might follow suit in order to pursue a career in Hollywood. That possibility has been given more clout since he began dating superstar singer, Taylor Swift.

As a result of their newfound fame outside of football circles, one person suggested the brothers host Saturday Night Live together and Swift could appear as the musical talent for the night.

"When the NFL season is over they should invite Travis and Jason Kelce to host SNL together with musical guest Taylor Swift......" wrote news producer Andrew Dallos on X, formerly Twitter. The post has racked up more than 667,000 views.

One person replied to Dallos telling him it was a "genius idea."

Another added: "Way before TS came into Travis's life, SNL made me a Kelce fan. Would watch for sure!"

And a third wrote: "Great idea....largest potential audience ever...Trump would hate it...."

Travis and Swift are no strangers to SNL, making a surprise appearance on the show in October just weeks after going public with their relationship. Travis appeared in the show's opening sketch which poked fun about the mania over, at the time, rumored relationship with Swift, while Swift introduced musical performer and collaborator, Ice Spice.

That episode marked Swift's sixth appearance on SNL, including several musical performances, appearing in sketches and even hosting the show in 2009.

The Chiefs tight end even successfully hosted an episode on March 4, 2023, after winning the Super Bowl with his team.

However, Jason is also no shrinking violet and could easily hold his own on SNL after proving he can steal the limelight from Swift, which he did at the Chiefs' win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Jason ripped off his shirt and jumped into the crowd offering high-fives when his brother scored the first of his two touchdowns of the game. He then returned to the private suite where he was watching the game with Swift, his family and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes, where he remained with his top off and swigging Bud Light.

Swift reacted to his antics with glee and covered her face with her hands while laughing.
