Uma Thurman has starred in her fair share of blockbuster hits, from Pulp Fiction to Kill Bill, but if there's one project she regrets turning down, it's Lord of the Rings.
The 46-year-old actor told The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night that passing on the role of Éowyn was "one of the worst decisions ever made." Miranda Otto took the part in Peter Jackson's acclaimed fantasy trilogy.
"It was a very long time ago, and I do consider it one of the worst decisions ever made. But I just had my first child and, I don't know, I was a little housebound," said Thurman. "I think I was a little bit...it was a little unknown for me. But it's really, definitely a regret."
The silver lining is that, by turning down Lord of the Rings , she was able to star in Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Volume 2, reuniting with visionary director Quentin Tarantino, who also helmed Pulp Fiction.
