Bradley Cooper won his first Grammy on Sunday, but as the actor wasn't at the ceremony to pick up his award, Stephen Colbert did the honors on his show instead.
On Thursday's episode of the The Late Show, Colbert handed the A Star is Born actor his Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. In the romantic drama, Cooper plays alcoholic country music star Jackson "Jack" Maine who forges a relationship with waitress and singer-songwriter Ally.
Cooper and his co-star Lady Gaga won the award for their duet on the song "Shallow." The Hangover actor was also nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
But Cooper was unable to attend the 61st Grammy Awards because he was across the pond in London, at the clashing BAFTA Awards ceremony.

On the show, Cooper joked it was his first and probably "only" Grammy he'll ever win.
At the BAFTAs Cooper was up for seven awards: Best Actor, Best Film, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Direction, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Film Music. Cooper won the BAFTA for Best Film Music, beating off competition from BlacKkKlansman, If Beale Street Could Talk, Isle of Dogs, and Mary Poppins Returns.
A Star is Born marks Cooper's directorial debut, a success earning both critical acclaim and public approval, with an 80% rating on the popular review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes.
Cooper and Lady Gaga's efforts have also been recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The film has been nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor for Cooper, Best Actress for Lady Gaga, Best Supporting Actor for Sam Elliot, and Best Original Song for Shallow.
But Cooper recently revealed he felt "embarrassed" he wasn't given a nod for Best Director. In an interview in early February on OWN's Oprah's SuperSoul Conversations, Oprah Winfrey told the American Sniper actor she was "surprised" the Academy didn't recognise him for his work.
He told Winfrey: "I was with my friend at a coffee shop in New York City, and I looked down at my phone and Nicole [Caruso, Cooper's publicist] had texted me congratulations on these other things but didn't tell me the bad news. And I went, 'Oh, wow.' And the first thing I felt was embarrassment, actually. Think about it. I felt embarrassed that I didn't do my part."
Instead, Spike Lee, Pawel Pawlikowski, Yorgos Lanthimos, Alfonso Cuarón and Adam McKay were nomianted in the category.
