A video released to the Israeli press on Wednesday showed far-right Israeli youths waving guns, petrol bombs and knives while celebrating the arson murder earlier this year of three members of a Palestinian family at a Jerusalem wedding earlier this month.

The footage, published by Israel's Channel 10 television station, shows one of the attendees at the wedding stabbing a photograph of Ali Dawabsha, an 18-month-old baby killed while he slept at his family's home in the West Bank village of Duma in July. The footage was captured at an Israeli wedding three weeks ago, Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz reported.

In Channel 10's report, it is alleged that the couple getting married were "very well known in the radical right" in Israel and that some of the people filmed dancing were friends of the suspects detained in the aftermath of the killing, according to Haaretz.

Israeli politicians condemned the footage. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the "shocking images" show the "real face of a group that poses danger to Israeli society and security."

Opposition politician and former Israeli Justice Minister Tzipi Livni said that "the Judaism of those who dance on the blood of babies is not my Judaism." Israel's right-wing Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked stopped short of condemning the actions of the radical youths, saying: "I regret that the video was released. This is something that in the end hurts the State of Israel."

Benzi Gopstein, a far-right figurehead in Israel and leader of the Lehava group that opposes intermarriage and coexistence between Arabs and Jews, speaking to Newsweek by phone from the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba, said that attacks and incitement by Palestinians against Israelis were more important than the leaked wedding footage.

"Today there were three terror attacks in Israel and yesterday two people murdered in Israel. This is the real problem of Israel, not the wedding," he said, in reference to a stabbing attack near Jerusalem's Jaffa Gate on Wednesday. "Every wedding of Arabs, they shoot real guns and speak to kill the Jewish, so this hurts Israel more than this wedding."

Israeli authorities have opened an investigation into the footage and police spokesman Luba Samri told The Times of Israel that there is much more footage being reviewed than that released by Channel 10. The additional footage from the wedding is said to show more people burning and stabbing photos of the Dawabsha family and carrying a lit Molotov cocktail, or petrol bomb.

Earlier this month, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said that there is "not enough evidence" to prosecute the three suspects in custody. The suspects allegedly attacked the Dawabsha family home with Molotov cocktails on July 31, killing baby Ali and his parents, Reham and Saad, who died later of their injuries. Their son, four-year-old Ahmad, was the only survivor. The attackers also spray-painted the Star of David, the words "revenge" and "long live the Messiah" in Hebrew on the house, indicating that it was a so-called "price tag" attack.
