Golden Retriever Dubbed 'Dogzilla' After Hilarious Photos at Model Village

A golden retriever has been dubbed as "Dogzilla" after a hilarious photo shoot at a model village that has left the internet in hysterics.

In a viral Facebook post, the 18-month-old Deku had a photo shoot in a miniature village that makes him look enormous.

His owner Amy Brewer, 29, who lives in Carisbrooke, on the Isle of Wight, U.K., told Newsweek: "Godshill Model village had been on our bucket list to visit for a while because we have lived on the island for years now and never visited

"I checked to see if they were dog-friendly and when we realized it was we thought it would be quite funny to take a photo of him stood amongst the village, looking like a giant 'Dogzilla'."

More than 6,300 people have liked the post and 1,000 people have commented, at the time of writing.

As you can see Deku is far from scary. He can be seen soaking up the sunshine and loving the camera.

Amy wrote: "He loves posing for the camera and wagged his tail the whole way round. His favorite part was the working steam train model which he stood up and watched as it went around the village and kept wanting to go back to see it over and over again."

Florida Golden Retriever Rescue states that the dogs "must be near their humans to be happy.

"The rescue shelter has advised dog owners to 'be prepared to do a lot of hands-on petting with your golden – they love it. Some goldens are downright needy in their desire for attention from their humans.'"

So it is no surprise Deku is happy to pose for the camera to make his doting owners happy.

Dog product website, 4LegsFriend, says retrievers are "bright, inquisitive, patient, and an attentive breed. These traits mean they need more mental and physical stimulation than most breeds."

Facebook users can't get enough of the "cute" dog. One user said: "The goodest dogzilla.." while another wrote: "Take DogZilla seriously, he's on set."

Someone else said: "These are great. They made me laugh."

"I never would have thought to take my dog somewhere like this but now it's on my bucket list," wrote another.

Others have compared Deku to the popular cartoon Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Newsweek shared a story about a gigantic dog who terrified the internet, unlike Deku who has put a smile on many people's faces.
