After a cryptic tweet last week saying that he couldn't perform in Argentina due to "legal conditions," Justin Bieber's loyal Beliebers took to the streets of Buenos Aires Saturday in protest.
Fans of the 22-year-old singer held placards and chanted with megaphones to convince the government to allow Bieber to bring his Purpose world tour to the South American country.
One of the protesters held up a sign that, roughly translated from Spanish, read: "Enough with Justin."
Although he didn't divulge the exact legal issues preventing him from performing in Argentina, Bieber tweeted on May 16:
The "Love Yourself" hitmaker may be referring to a 2013 assault charge against him in Argentina, after he allegedly ordered bodyguards to attack photographer Diego Pesoa outside a Buenos Aires nightclub.
A warrant for Bieber's arrest was revoked in 2015, but the charges against him still stand.
During the same visit in November 2013, he caused diplomatic uproar when he appeared to kick an Argentine flag thrown onstage.
