Wednesday 27 May

The Queen's Speech which heralds the State Opening of Parliament, will set out the newly elected British Conservative government's plans for the coming year. A controversial counter-terrorism bill that includes plans for disruption orders to limit "harmful activities" of extremists is expected to be announced.

Thursday 28 May

The Atlantic Council and the Free Russia Foundation will release two independently produced reports on the crisis in Ukraine: Hiding in Plain Sight: Putin's War in Ukraine and the English language release of Boris Nemtsov's report, Putin. War.

John Galliano, the British fashion designer famously fired from Dior in 2011 following an Anti-Semitic rant, will be the keynote speaker at an upcoming Jewish event in London aimed at bringing "Jews and Jewish learning back into the West End".

Friday 29 May

Muhammadu Buhari, the first opposition candidate to defeat an incumbent, will take the oath of office to become Nigeria's fifth executive president.

Saturday 30 May

Once the new UK government has been sworn in, anti-austerity group UK Uncut will protest in London against "the ruthless millionaires in charge" who plan to make further welfare cuts.
