Multiple fires burn across California, according to Cal Fire, but three are major: the Camp, Woolsey and Hill fires.
The deadly Camp fire in Butte County, Northern California, has claimed 56 lives and spans 138,000 acres, Cal Fire's latest update says.
It is 35 percent contained by the some 5,473 personnel battling the blaze with their 620 engines, 24 helicopters and 105 dozers. The Camp fire has destroyed 8,650 homes. Tens of thousands of people were ordered to evacuate the affected areas. Full containment may not come until November 30.
"The fire remained active throughout the day in various areas around the perimeter," Cal Fire said. "Firefighters have been working diligently to attack the fire through direct and indirect methods.
"As weather and visibility allow, fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters have been working in coordination with ground crews to slow the fire's progress."
"Firefighters continue to strengthen and improve containment lines around the fire. Firefighters remain deployed throughout the interior areas of the fire's footprint to patrol, extinguish hot spots, and mitigate hazards."

Farther south, the Woolsey fire continues to burn in the Los Angeles area. Cal Fire's latest Woolsey fire update says two people have died and the fire has burned 98,362 acres across Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
The Woolsey fire threatens 57,000 structures and has destroyed more than 500, including the homes of celebrities such as singer Miley Cyrus and actor Gerard Butler, among others. The fire is 52 percent contained and mandatory evacuations are in place across the affected areas. Full containment is expected on November 19.
"Winds are expected to be weak with northeasterly winds across the ridges and drainage winds at lower elevations," according to Cal Fire.
"Firefighting resources will pursue opportunities to build and improve direct line to minimize further perimeter growth and support containment objectives. Fire suppression repair teams are actively engaged working around the fire perimeter and affected areas."

Nearby is the Hill fire, although it is much smaller and mostly contained than Woolesy. Cal Fire says the Hill Fire has burned 4,531 acres and is 96 percent contained. There were no evacuations or injuries, and only two structures were destroyed.
"Fire crews continue to mop up and patrol the fire perimeter," Cal Fire says.
"For tonight, winds are expected to be weak with northeasterly winds across the ridges and drainage winds at lower elevations. Overnight relative humidity will be better than previous nights, but still poor. Fire suppression repair teams are actively engaged working around the fire perimeter and affected areas."
