Police in Bermuda have launched a search for a 19-year-old college student who went missing during a school rugby trip on the island.

Mark Dombroski, a freshman at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, was visiting Bermuda to take part in the Ariel Re Bermuda International 7's Tournament, but has not been seen since a night out on Sunday night.

He was last seen at the Dog House bar on Front Street in Hamilton just after 12 a.m. local time on March 18. He is described as a white male of small build, 6ft tall with short blonde hair.

Dombroski was last seen wearing khaki pants, a green T-shirt and black shoes. His disappearance came just as he was scheduled to return home to Philadelphia.

Family members, including his parents and two brothers, have reportedly flown out to the island to assist with the search as authorities become increasingly concerned about his whereabouts.

The Bermuda Rugby Sevens organization is also offering a $1,000 reward for any information, reports NBC Philadelphia.

A statement from Bermuda Police said: "The appeal continues regarding missing American visitor 19-year-old Mark Dombroski. He is still missing and there is concern for his wellbeing.
