Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson sparked fan speculation when Grande posted multiple selfies with a portable crib in the background. She quickly clarified she was not pregnant, but the crib was for the pair's latest family addition, a baby pig. The pig, who was later revealed to be named Piggy Smallz, is now in the middle of the Grande and Davidson breakup. Fans are concerned as to which of the celebrities will take ownership of their pet.

Grande posted four videos of Piggy Smallz on her Instagram story Wednesday afternoon, a day after she addressed the breakup in a cryptic, now-deleted message on Instagram. The message said Grande would be staying off the Internet to avoid news she didn't want to see. She also said, seemingly in reference to her split with Davidson, "It's very sad."

Piggy Smallz was welcomed into the family in mid-September and has become a staple on Grande's Instagram page. Davidson quickly added a Piggy Smallz tattoo to his side, according to People. The pig even has his own Instagram page, though it has not yet been used.

A fan joked about changing the name of Grande's song "pete davidson" to "piggy smallz" after unconfirmed rumors swirled Grande would keep the pig. Most fans on Twitter suggested she deserves the pet over Davidson.

On World Mental Health Day, the popstar shared a homemade music video for her song "Breathin", which featured Piggy Smallz. The song is about Grande's anxiety and fans assumed Piggy Smallz serves as an emotional comfort for Grande as she openly works through Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from the Manchester Bombing and the recent loss of her ex-boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller.

A fan responded to the video with anger, as Grande noted she forgot to film a real video for the song. The fan called the Sweetener era "a joke and lazy."

"This era is beautiful to me but idk. Been through hell and back and I'm doing my best to keep going. Thought this would make you laugh while you wait for the real one because I took a break to take care of myself for a little while. My [bad]," the artist responded in her Instagram comments.

Though Piggy Smallz has not used his own Instagram account, the last photo of the pet was posted on Grande's Instagram on Friday. Though Grande has not posted on her Instagram story since news of her breakup with Davidson, Piggy Smallz has often made multiple appearances per day on the app's feature.

Pet pigs, like Piggy Smallz, are illegal in New York City, where Grande and Davidson lived together, according to Teen Vogue.
