Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are heading to the altar. The couple took to Instagram to announce on Friday to announce their Valentine's Day engagement to fans.

"full bloom," Perry captioned her engagement photo. The couple was pictured close-up as red heart balloons surrounded them in the photo's background, but it was the "365" singer's massive engagement ring that took center stage. The unique diamond resembled a flower shape. According to E! Online, it's worth an estimated $5 million.

"Katy's unbelievable engagement ring from Orlando Bloom would retail in the range of $5 million," WP Diamonds president Andrew Brown told E! Online on Friday. "What looks to be a 4-carat fancy vivid pink oval-shaped diamond arranged with eight white diamonds around it to assemble a flower 'in bloom.' This ring is truly one-of-a-kind and wildly valuable."

Bloom, 42, shared the same photo as Perry, 34, with a caption that read, "Lifetimes."

Before her engagement to the English actor, Forbes reported Perry's net worth amounted to $83 million as of July 2018. Perry has had a long and successful career in the music industry. During her run on Witness: The Tour, she earned over $1 million nightly throughout her 80 concert stops. She also pocketed a reported salary of $25 million as a judge on ABC's American Idol revival, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Bloom, for his part, is reportedly worth $35 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. He's appeared in The Lord of the Rings film series and the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, among movies. Before proposing to Perry, Bloom shared a cryptic message to Instagram on Thursday about two people progressing together in their relationship.

"A shallow person will have only shallow relationships. Real love is not one person clinging to another, it can only be fostered between two strong people secure in their individuality. Antoine de Saint— Exupery, author of The Little Prince wrote in a work called Wind, Sand and Stars, 'Love is not two people gazing at each other, but two people looking ahead together in the same direction.'"

Perry and Bloom's engagement comes after dating for more than three years. The couple was first rumored to be an item after they were spotted together at a 2016 Golden Globes after party. They announced their relationship soon after, but eventually parted ways after 10 months of dating in March 2017. The couple later reconciled in August 2017.

In November 2018, Perry told Entertainment Tonight that "there's a balance" that allows her relationship with Bloom to succeed.

"I think when you're attracted to someone, it's sort of like how opposites attract," she said. "I'm looking for that balance and maybe he's looking for [someone who is] a multi-tasker."
