The 62nd Recording Academy Grammy Awards are nearly upon us. A night that will see musicians, celebrities, producers and anyone who is anyone turn up at the Los Angeles' Staples Center on Sunday, January 26, 2020.
Global audiences will tune in to watch top music acts receive awards for categories such as Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo or Group Performance, Best Pop Solo Performance and many more.
When the Grammy Awards were first introduced in 1959, 28 different categories were available in which to win an award. In 2009, the number reached its highest level with 110 categories, according to The Recording Academy, and in 2019, awards were presented in 84 categories.
