It's official! Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are now husband and wife. The couple celebrated their nuptials in a lavish ceremony held in the actress's home country of India on Saturday.

Chopra is an India-born actor best known for starring in Quantico. The 36-year-old, who is close friends with royal newbie Meghan Markle, won the Miss World 2000 pageant. She's appeared in movies like Baywatch and the upcoming flick Isn't It Romantic. In 2016, she cracked Forbes's list for highest-paid television actresses in the world.

Jonas, 26, popped the question to Chopra in Crete on July 18. The Disney alum, who had selected her ring at Tiffany & Co. weeks prior, waited until midnight to propose on Chopra's birthday. The couple became husband and wife through a beautiful Hindu ceremony held at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. This extravagant affair, which included celebrity guests like Sophie Turner and after Elizabeth Chambers Hammer, occurred after the pair said "I do" in a Christian ceremony officiated by Kevin Jonas Sr, who is the singer's pastor father.

Jonas and Chopra aimed to throw a wedding that was very much representative of them. They blended their different cultural backgrounds to cultivate a ceremony that was what they "both dreamed" of being.

"One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other's faiths and cultures," the newlyweds wrote Saturday in matching statements via Instagram. "And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing."

"An important part of the pre wedding rituals for the girl in an Indian wedding in the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed," the statement concluded.

Chopra and Jonas's wedding incorporated many Hindu customs, including the Sangeet. The word "Sangeet" is simply defined as music, but the term takes on new meaning when describing a celebratory occasion. In regards to the couple's wedding, it signifies a musical event.

The Quantico star and "Right Now" crooner's ceremony was a night of dancing and singing. Jonas said it was an aspect of their wedding they were "looking forward to" partaking in because the couple was excited "to see what each side of the family had put together."

"It all began as a fierce song & dance between families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love...Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love," Chopra wrote Sunday on Instagram. "We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends."

Jonas and Chopra's wedding celebrations are far from over. The newly married couple were all smiles on Monday as they were spotted out with Joe Jonas and his fiancée Sophie Turner and Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle Jonas. They also took to Instagram to share their shoot for Vogue, which was shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.
