Conan O'Brien made his 2019 comeback to late night television this week, and Wednesday's guest is arguably the forkin' best.
The cast of NBC's The Good Place joined the comedian; O'Brien expressed his excitement on Twitter by revealing the show starring Kristen Bell is his favorite "program."
"I seriously love this show," O'Brien says in the Twitter video. "There are times when I have to interview people for a show I don't really like."
"The Good Place. Tonight. One of my favorite programs, and yes, I still say programs," he added.
Jameela Jamil, otherwise known as Tahani Al‑Jamil, also took to Twitter to express her excitement for taking part on Team Coco, calling O'Brien a "strange" and "wonderful man."
Aside from late night interviews, O'Brien and Bell have a good friendship — featured on the comedian's podcast Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend. First introduced in October 2018, the red-haired comedian embarks on a journey of finding a friend, outside of those on his payroll.
"Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests," the description of the podcast reads. "Deeper, unboundedly playful, and free from FCC regulations, Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend is a weekly opportunity for Conan to hang out with the people he enjoys most and perhaps find some real friendship along the way."
The Good Place began its third season in September 2018 and was renewed for a fourth season in December, according to a Variety report.
"Congratulations to Mike Schur and an exceptional cast and crew, all of whom collaborate to create a thoughtful, mind-bending and hysterical series unlike anything else on television," said Tracey Pakosta and Lisa Katz, co-presidents of scripted programming for NBC Entertainment. "We can't wait to see what unexpected stories the new season will bring."
Bell spoke with Newsweek earlier this month to speak of the joys of playing Eleanor Shellstrop.
"You rarely get to play a character that grows this much [from] someone who is narcissistic, hard to be around and borderline anti-social to someone who is building a team, investing in people and for the first time in her life caring about others," Bell said.
Conan airs weekdays at 11 p.m. ET on TBS; The Good Place airs on NBC Fridays at 9:30 p.m. ET.
